PIERRE, S.D. – On June 16, Governor Kristi Noem ordered that flags be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol from sunrise until sunset on Friday, June 23rd, 2023, in honor of former State Representative Robert Joseph Burns. He served in the South Dakota State Legislature from 1975-1976.  

Funeral services for former Rep. Burns will take place at 10:30 am on June 23rd, 2023, at St. Mary’s Church, 2109 South 5th Ave, Sioux Falls, SD.
