Honduran man sentenced to time served for illegal reentry after deportation

A Honduran man, Pedro Perez-Murillo, has been sentenced for illegally reentering the United States after being deported. U.S. District Judge Camela C. Theeler handed down the sentence of time served on February 23, 2026, according to an announcement from U.S. Attorney Ron Parsons.

Perez-Murillo, 41, was indicted by a federal grand jury in September 2025 and pleaded guilty on October 31, 2025. He is a Honduran national who has previously been deported from the United States three times, with his most recent removal occurring in 2019. Authorities discovered him back in the country in September 2025.

Reentering the United States after deportation is classified as a felony offense. The case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Benjamin Schroeder.
