Jake Owen scheduled to perform at South Dakota State Fair in September 2026

Country music artist Jake Owen will perform at the South Dakota State Fair on September 6, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. Central Time, according to an announcement from the South Dakota State Fair and Legend Seeds.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Jake Owen take the stage at this year’s South Dakota State Fair. Jake’s music has such a fun, feel-good spirit, and his concerts create the kind of memories people talk about for years,” Peggy Besch, South Dakota State Fairgrounds Manager, said.

Owen’s career includes gold and platinum records, ten number one singles, and more than 2.5 billion U.S. on-demand streams. He is known for hits such as “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” “Beachin’,” “Anywhere With You,” “Alone With You,” and “The One That Got Away.” His most recent album is Dreams to Dream, co-produced with Shooter Jennings. In February, he launched his “Dreams to Dream” tour covering cities including Washington D.C., York (Pennsylvania), St. Paul (Minnesota), and Des Moines (Iowa). Beyond performing, Owen is a business executive with Good Company Entertainment and founder of The Jake Owen Foundation.

Ticket presale for backrest signage holders and Friends of the Fair runs from May 11 through May 14. General public ticket sales begin at 8:00 a.m. Central Time on May 19. Information about pricing and tickets is available at www.sdstatefair.com. The backrest signage program allows businesses or individuals to place signage on grandstand backrests with early ticket access tied to their signage area. Friends of the Fair offers benefits including early access to VIP table sales and reserved seating tickets.

Jake Owen joins previously announced acts Red Wilk Construction Tuff Hedeman Bull Bash and Nate Smith welcomed by Pioneer for the grandstand lineup during the fair’s run from September 2 through September 7.
