South Dakota State University announced on April 25 that the third game of The Summit League softball series against St. Thomas was canceled because of rain.

The cancellation came after both teams began their scheduled 1 p.m. game at Jerald T. Moriarty Field on Saturday, but persistent showers during the top of the first inning led to multiple delays before officials determined the contest would result in a no decision.

According to the university, this third game will not be rescheduled or made up. The Jackrabbits are now set to finish their regular season with an away series in Fargo, North Dakota.

The team is scheduled to play North Dakota State in a three-game series starting Thursday. No further information about possible changes or adjustments was provided by South Dakota State University.

Looking ahead, fans and players will turn their attention to the upcoming matchups as South Dakota State prepares for its final regular season games.
