As future Governor of South Dakota, I've thought through the many problems in leadership that our state is facing right now. Restoring trust and transparency in our state government is a high priority, and it comes with reformatting the way that we look at "Public Private Partnerships."
I believe that these partnerships need to be few and far between so that we avoid increasing conflicts of interest at the expense of taxpayers. I believe that the state can (and will!) facilitate good changes and growth, but we should not see state government as the end-all.
