Census Bureau: South Dakota saw more residents between ages 55 and 64 in 2020

Of the 879,336 people residing in South Dakota in 2020, the median age was 37, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Rushmore State News.

The largest number of people were in the 55 to 64 age bracket with the fewest number of people in the age bracket for people over the age of 84.
