SIOUX FALLS, SD – Governor Kristi Noem has awarded over $2.7 million in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to four projects throughout South Dakota. Dupree, Isabel, Lead, and Timber Lake will use the monies to help fund community projects that total more than $10 million.
“I am proud that we can partner with communities as we work together to improve the overall quality of life. Local leaders who utilize this program help make their hometowns even better and these upgrades will be a benefit to all,” said Governor Noem.
CDBG awards include the following:
- The city of Dupree will use a $770,000 grant to assist with wastewater system improvements
- The city of Isabel will use a $770,000 grant to assist with wastewater infrastructure improvements
- The city of Lead will use a $429,937 grant to assist with water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer improvements
- The city of Timber Lake will use a $770,000 grant to assist with wastewater infrastructure improvements
