The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has endorsed Senator John Thune for re-election to the United States Senate, representing South Dakota. This endorsement comes from NFIB's political action committee, NFIB FedPAC, which is supported by voluntary contributions from its members.
Lindsey Riter-Rapp, NFIB South Dakota State Director, expressed support for Senator Thune: “Senator John Thune is a proven ally of South Dakota’s small businesses in the U.S. Senate.” She highlighted his advocacy for pro-small business policies and noted that he earned a 100% NFIB voting record for this term. Riter-Rapp also mentioned that Thune was recently named a Guardian of Small Business and praised his efforts to repeal the death tax, which she said would benefit family businesses throughout South Dakota.
Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, echoed these sentiments: “We are proud to endorse Senator Thune for re-election today.” She emphasized that Thune understands the concerns of NFIB members and has been a reliable vote for small business interests during his tenure in the Senate.
The decisions made by NFIB FedPAC are driven by member evaluations at the grassroots level.
