United States Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell announced the sentencing of Cory Linderman, a 43-year-old man from Mitchell, South Dakota. Linderman was sentenced to 23 years in federal prison for his involvement in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in the Rapid City area. The sentence was delivered by District Judge Karen E. Schreier on May 30, 2025.

Linderman's conviction followed an indictment by a federal grand jury in July 2023 and his guilty plea on March 5, 2025. In addition to his prison term, he will serve five years of supervised release and pay a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.

The conspiracy involved trafficking approximately 100 pounds of methamphetamine between 2021 and 2023. Julian Fuentes led the group responsible for transporting methamphetamine from California to Rapid City, where it was distributed by members including Linderman, Daniel Bradshaw, and Travis Orr. Linderman's role involved distributing around 40-50 pounds of methamphetamine.

Several co-conspirators have also been sentenced: Julian Fuentes received a 20-year sentence; Daniel Bradshaw was sentenced to 14 years; Travis Orr received a sentence of nearly 20 years; Alisa See was sentenced to over 22 years; and Reynaldo Garcia-Gonzalez also received over 22 years.

The Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team (UNET), which includes various law enforcement agencies such as the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office and the Rapid City Police Department, conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Hodges prosecuted the case.

Following his sentencing, Linderman was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service.
