A player who purchased a Lucky for Life ticket at Dakotamart in Fort Pierre has won the game’s second prize in Sunday’s drawing, according to the South Dakota Lottery. The winner can choose between an annual payout of $25,000 for life or a one-time payment of $390,000.
The winning numbers drawn were 13, 14, 19, 25, and 28 with a Lucky Ball of 6. The South Dakota Lottery recommends that the winner sign the back of their ticket immediately and consult with a financial advisor before claiming the prize. Prizes can be claimed at any South Dakota Lottery redemption center or at the Pierre validation center located at 711 E. Wells Ave.
This marks the tenth time since 2017 that a Lucky for Life second prize has been won in South Dakota.
In addition to this recent win, attention remains on Powerball as its Monday drawing will offer a jackpot of $1.1 billion, ranking as the fifth largest in Powerball history.
Revenue from lotto games such as Lucky for Life contributes to state programs. Seventy percent of net proceeds go to South Dakota’s General Fund, which supports K-12 schools, state universities, and technical institutes. The remaining thirty percent is allocated to the Capital Construction Fund to support initiatives like the Water and Environment Fund, Ethanol Fuel Fund, and State Highway Fund.
