Sturgis Driver Licensing Exam Station Changes Days of Operations

PIERRE, S.D. – Effective Friday, Dec. 2,  the South Dakota Driver Licensing exam station in Sturgis will be open on Fridays instead of Thursdays.

The station is located in the Sturgis Community Center, 1401 Lazelle Street. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. MT each Friday. Driver license applications will be accepted until 4:15 p.m.

Due to the move, the Sturgis exam station will not be open on Thursday, Dec. 1.

Those who need to renew driver licenses and identification cards are reminded that they can do so online, schedule an appointment online or walk into any driver licensing station statewide. The driver licensing website is https://dps.sd.gov/driver-licensing.

The South Dakota Driver License program is an agency of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
