The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), a prominent association for small businesses across the United States, has announced the appointment of Jason Glodt as the new state director for South Dakota. Glodt comes to the position with a rich background, having accrued more than two decades of legal experience in South Dakota, coupled with a strong foundation in campaign management and public service.

Barbara Quandt, NFIB Region Director, stated, “I am pleased to welcome Jason Glodt to NFIB as our new State Director representing South Dakota’s hard-working small business owners." Glodt has a unique connection to the small business community, having been raised in a family-owned grocery store in Wessington Springs, South Dakota. For the past 21 years, he has lived and worked in Pierre.

Glodt's legal expertise spans government and public affairs, lobbying, and business law. His career includes positions as a senior policy advisor, lobbyist, and legal counsel under Governors Mike Rounds and Dennis Daugaard. In his previous role as an Assistant Attorney General, he led the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.

Glodt's public service record includes appointments by Governor Bill Janklow to the South Dakota Board of Regents, where he was re-appointed for a second term. His community involvement is extensive; he has served as a city commissioner in Pierre, an Eagle Scout, and was recognized in 2004 as one of the Ten Outstanding Young South Dakotans. His volunteer work includes leadership roles in the Pierre Exchange Club and Masonic Lodge, as well as serving as a Scoutmaster for Troop 27 in Pierre.
